College GameDay crew make their conference champion picks for 2024

College football is officially back and with it ESPN College GameDay is back for the 2024. Appearing in Dublin, Ireland for the Florida State vs Georgia Tech game, the crew didn't have a to of games to make picks for given it's week zero.

So when it came time to make picks, the panel made their picks for the Power Four conference champions as well as their picks for the national champion.

Welcome Back

The panel in Ireland were mainstays Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, and Kirk Herbstreit. Nick Saban is on the panel for 2024 and the celebrity guest picker was WWE wrestler Sheamus.

ACC

Minimal consensus from the group on this one. Miami keeps getting love and we will see how they look next week, though we are on record we don't fully grasp the hype. FSU and Clemson are the two safe choices for the conference, while Virginia Tech feels like a complete wild card pick.

Big 10

The new look Big 10 should be comptetive this season, but both Washington and Michigan are breaking in new head coaches after making it to the national title game last season. Oregon is the hot pick with a ton of momentum as a program, but the panel went the safe route and mostly stuck with Ohio State

SEC

The only clean sweep on the board and it is hard to go against this one. Alabama has question marks with a new coach and Texas should be in the mix, but until further notice it is hard to see Georgia falling short.

Big 12

We personally like Utah in the new look Big 12. Super senior Cam Rising should do well and this feels like their conference to lose.
