Most of the efforts for Florida football when it comes to recruiting have been around the class of 2025.

And while it is far too early to get exciting as fans about the class of 2027, Florida's coaching staff is making sure it is keeping connections with up and coming talent as rivals make those connections too.

Florida Football: Class of 2027

If you want to feel old, the current crop of high school freshmen were born in either 2008 or 2009. But time waits for no man and Florida extended an offer yesterday to freshman Cameron Pritchett from Alabaster, AL, just south of Birmingham.

Pritchett is a 6'3" and 225 pound defensive end that has already caught the eye of plenty of Power Five schools. He has offers from Auburn, FSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, and Texas to name a few.

His film from his freshman year showcases a player that doesn't look out of playing on the varsity as a freshman. While a number of freshmen have to learn how to put their pads on and how to line up correctly, Pritchett is fighting through double teams and making correct reads on option plays to stop offenses in their tracks.

As with any class of 2027 member, there is a still a long way to go in his recruitment. We would have to imagine more and more big name teams will offer and as Pritchett hits the camps circuit teams will make deeper evaluations about their own interest.

But he will be a name to keep an eye on in the next couple of years because if he continues to grow he has the potential to be an unstoppable wrecking ball his senior year.
