Are we still convinced Florida Baseball didn't belong in the NCAA Tournament?

Two weeks ago, one could have been convinced the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee did a grave injustice by selecting Florida Baseball as one of the teams to participate in the field of 64.

Two weeks later, anyone claiming Florida didn't deserve a seat at the table looks silly as the Gators have steamrolled their way back to Omaha and have made it to the College World Series for the second straight season.

Florida Baseball: Say Less Things

It wasn't pretty, it wasn't calming, and it wasn't without plenty of drama. Game two against Clemson had a little bit of everything and if we are being honest it wasn't things we necessarily want to see if college baseball as a sport is expected to grow.

Clemson 1st baseman Jack Crighton and head coach Erik Bakich were ejected for petty incidents at best.

Along the way was a back and forth game that featured a Jac Caglianone home run, an Ashton Wilson home run, a blown save by Brandon Neely, and a walk off two-run double Michael Robertson that ended with the Gators booking a return trip to Omaha.

The headlines from this game/series are ultimately a confirmation of what every Gator fan paying attention had said all season long. Florida was a team with flaws, but don't let their 28-27 regular season record fool you into thinking this was a team that didn't deserve a spot in the tournament.

National reaction may have been visceral, but after beating Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Clemson twice the people who claimed with all their heart that College of Charleston should have made the tournament over Florida look a bit foolish at this point.

And since Eminem just dropped a new song harking back to his Slim Shady persona, we have just one thing to say.

Guess who's back? Back again?

Florida's back.
