Florida Basketball found out the hard way about why the phrase "Adding insult to injury" exists during its defeat to Alabama this week. Alex Condon took an elbow to the head that went viral, yet he was the one called for the foul.

Upon reviewing the footage, the SEC announced a suspension for the player who delivered the elbow.

Florida Basketball: You Can't Do That

The SEC announced that Mohamed Wague would be suspended for one game for delivering The People's Elbow to Condon.

In a press release, the SEC said:

"After video review in the conference office, it was determined that Wague committed the fighting act of striking Florida's Alex Condon in the back of the head with his elbow/forearm with 9:25 remaining to play in the first half of Wednesday's game.

As a result of the review, Wague will be suspended for Alabama's game at Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 24."

As your friendly reminder, Condon was called for the foul on this play.

Do you SEC, do you.

Florida and Alabama are slated to play each other again on March 5 in Gainesville for Senior Night.
