Florida football is getting set to host plenty of 2025 recruits on campus this weekend as they look to make an early mark on this cycle.

One player who is ready to make his first trip to Gainesville is a 5-star defender, and one of the best linebackers in the '25 class.

Nasir Wyatt, who plays at Mater Dei in Santa Ana, California, is set to make the trip across the country to visit Billy Napier and the Gators this weekend.

Wyatt is widely regarded as one of the best players in the class, and would be a massive pickup for the Gators when he makes his commitment:

Florida football: Game wrecker

Nasir is every bit of an impact player for Mater Dei and can flip a game on its head at any point. In his junior season, he totaled 41 tackles, 21 TFLs, 14 sacks, three forced fumbles and recoveries, and seven pass deflections.

His sophomore season was just as hectic, with 27.5 TFLs, 13 sacks, and three more forced fumbles to his name. Whenever Wyatt is in on the play, the offense has to cross their fingers and hope nothing crazy happens.

On3's Industry Ranking has Nasir rated as the 43rd-best player in the country, the No. 4 LB in 2025, and the No. 3 player coming out of California.

Being from California, it's no shock to see USC currently on top of his recruitment, followed by the likes of Oregon and UCLA.

While it's no easy task to go all the way out west and recruit players to Gainesville, Napier and his staff will bring out all the stops in an effort to get Wyatt in the Orange and Blue.

He's the kind of player that can transform an entire defense, and quickly become an impact player in the SEC.
