The NFL Combine is fast approaching, and Florida Football will be well represented in Indianapolis as the Gators are sending nine players to the showcase with hopes of impressing NFL scouts.
Media availability for the Combine starts on February 26, and the event will conclude on March 3.
Graham Mertz
In theory, he wouldn't be throwing or working out at the Combine as he is still recovering from his torn ACL back in October, but the Combine can give him a chance to meet with scouts and executives face to face and if he can do well in the interview portion he might get a shot as an undrafted free agent.
Montrell Johnson Jr.
40 yard dash time is going to be huge for Johnson as the Combine doesn't feel like the type of setting that will fully showcase his strengths (vision and pass blocking).
He is currently viewed as a fringe draft prospect at best.
Elijhah Badger
Another player where the 40-yard dash is going to go a long way, Badger gained attention this year as D.J. Lagway's primary downfield target and leaves college football with three productive seasons under his belt.
Mock drafts have picked up on him as a potential Day 3 selection.
Chimere Dike
The other primary weapon in Florida's passing attack, Dike had a big year just to get on the radar to even get invited to the Combine in the first place. His route to the NFL might be through special teams.
Pro Football Focus did include him in their top 200 prospects for the draft, so he is starting to creep onto radars.
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
It was a quiet but productive year for Crenshaw-Dickson as the transfer from San Diego State wasn't elite, but he was not the turnstile that defined the position the last couple of seasons.
Some mock drafts have him as high as the 4th round.
Cam Jackson
One of the more underrated components of Florida's defensive turnaround in 2024, Jackson is another player who could see his stock rise with a big Combine.
Right now mock drafts have him as a potential Day 3 prospect.
Shemar James
James is taking a gamble by declaring for the Draft after his junior year, but he did earn praise for his Senior Bowl performance.
Mock drafts are slowly coming around to James, but he has still not been better than in the 7th round.
Jason Marshall Jr.
A one-time potential 1st round pick, Marshall was having a solid 2024 campaign before he was knocked out for the season against Kentucky.
There is no word yet on whether he would work in Indianapolis. Mock drafts currently have him as high as the 5th round.
Jeremy Crawshaw
Punters usually don't get drafted, but there has been a trend in recent years to move up and grab one if there is a good one available.
If Crawshaw can have a good Combine, he might give some GMs something to think about on Draft Day.
