All eyes continue to be on Florida running back Jadan Baugh and what decision he’ll make in the coming days and weeks and every post and tweet keeps fans on their toes. On Saturday Baugh took to Instagram with a video on his story that showed high fives and excitement between Gators players and it has Gator fans wondering if it could mean something. It wasn’t a repost, but the verdict is out on if a member of the media or a sponsor edited it for him and he posted it with no meaning.
Either way, it has Gator fans speculating and adds to the importance of the Gators getting a deal done with the Baugh to keep him a Gator.
Baugh, the sophomore standout led the Gators with 1,170 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in 2025. He had 185 receiving yards on 31 catches and two receiving touchdowns to give him ten total touchdowns in a season, which also led Florida in 2025.
With his 1,170 yards rushed, Baugh became just the tenth Gator all-time to rush for 1,00 yards.
He put on a record season becoming the first player to rush 200 plus yards in a game since 2004 after rushing for 266 yards against Florida State), had the most rush yards in Gator history by a sophomore, and sits with the fourth highest rush yards in a game all-time for the Gators. All of that comes against FSU. He had 38 carries against the Seminoles to end Florida’s regular season, including, as mentioned 266 yards, two touchdowns, and that was the game that put him over the 1,000 rushing yards mark on the season.
In total for his two years at the University of Florida, Baugh has a total of 1,843 rushing yards on 353 runs and 15 rushing touchdowns in 25 games.
In the air, he has 37 total receptions for 243 yards with three receiving touchdowns.
While Florida has made him a priority signing in 2025, no real news has come out regarding if he will be returning to the Gator nation or entering the transfer portal. All we do know at this point is that as of January 3rd, Baugh is not in the transfer portal. Players have until January 16th to decide if they will enter into the portal.
