At this point Billy Napier knows he's on the hot seat and the end of his tenure with the Gators can come as soon as tomorrow if we're being truthful.
And when Napier was asked in his post-game press conference if he was the right man for the job, he sounded like a guy that already knew his fate.

"Yeah I think I'n more concerned with doing my job and helping lead these young men. That's a big picture question and I think right now it's more about today," Napier said. "It's more about what we do tomorrow and I think that's what we've got to be consumed with.I'm consumed with doing the best job I can do for the player, leading the staff and getting the football fixed."
Gator football absolutely needs to be fixed, but it's very likely another coach will be asked to do the repairs. The 18-16 loss to USF today drops Napier's overall record at Florida to 20-20.
Florida paid USF $500K for the game, but buying out Napier will cost a lot more.
How much is Billy Napier's buyout?
With Billy Napier buyout and #FireBillyNapier currently trending on X, it's time to remind fans that Napier signed a 7-year deal with nearly $52 million ($51.8 to be exact) and he is currently owed $30.2 for the remaining years on the deal. With the likelihood of Napier getting fired after this season, Florida would owe $19.38 million or 85% of the remaining money on the deal. if he gets fired in season, the number would be higher based on when the decision is made.
Fans revolt begins at The Swamp
The post-game scene in Gainesville was not a happy one and the Gator fans were not hiding their displeasure with the current status of Florida football. As Napier jogged off the field after the game, the remaining fans serenaded him with a chorus of boos.

With Florida staring at road games against LSU and Miami, this question no longer appears to be if Napier will get fired, but rather when will Napier get fired.
