Georgia game reminds Florida Football fans of terrible targeting call vs Texas A&M
Last night, Georgia had to survive Georgia Tech in an eight OT thriller. The Bulldogs fell behind by 17 at halftime, and were still down with under five minutes to play before staging a huge comeback to even send it to overtime.
But one of the massive moments of the game was a fumble recovery from Georgia with a little over two minutes to go. Plenty of people around the country noted it was a blown call, but Florida Football fans, in particular, were miffed and were reminded when Trikweze Bridges was ejected for far less earlier in the season.

When Haynes King fumbled on 3rd and 1, people around the country were mystified that targeting wasn't called on the play. The defender launched himself into the runner with the crown of his helmet and into King's helmet, but nothing was called on the field, and for whatever reason, the replay official didn't deem it worthy of a review.
Florida fans, in particular though, were reminded of when Birdges was ejected for tackling a guy in the butt against Texas A&M. In that incident, targeting was not called originally, but replay officials took another look at it and determined that it met all the criteria for targeting. Even more frustrating was that the SEC confirmed it was the "correct" call after the game.
One was called targeting, and one was not. All fans want in the end is consistency, and even in a day and age with 4K cameras and the ability to slow things down by the frame, we still can't seem to achieve that.
