Somourian Wingo is a 6'3" and 180-pound wide receiver from St. Augustine. All four major recruiting services have Wingo listed as a four-star prospect, with ESPN grading him the highest at 148th overall.

Wingo puts up the kind of stats one would expect in the video game CFB 25, and there is a good chance the Gators are going to land him.

Somourian Wingo is a prime target for the Florida Gators

On film, it doesn't matter if Wingo lines up in the slot or out wide; he is a touchdown threat on every play. What impresses the most about Wingo is not only his catch radius, which gives him the ability to go up and catch almost anything thrown in his direction but also his ability to keep the play going and turn it into six points.

He doesn't necessarily have blinding speed, but he does have the ability to punish secondaries who try to play press coverage on him.

As a junior he had 71 catches for 1,119 yards and 14 touchdowns during the 2024 season.

Wingo has been in town several times prior to this weekend for his official visit. He took a visit to Miami last weekend, and on paper, he still has visits lined up with Alabama and South Carolina.

Wingo's visit this weekend in Gainesville has apparently gone so well that On3 has logged a prediction for Wingo to commit to Florida.

Wingo would complement the room of Florida wide receivers well, which has a treasure trove of speed but could benefit from a taller guy like Wingo in red zone situations.

Florida's class of 2026 is slowly starting to come together this summer. As it stands right now, the Gators have just four commits: Will Griffin, Kaiden Hall, Jamir Perez, and G'Nivre Carr. The latter three in that group have all committed within the last month, and Florida has momentum with numerous other prospects.
