The University of Florida football program has churned out plenty of NFL talent over the years. They are one of three schools in the country to have a player selected in every NFL Draft since 1967, with USC and Michigan joining them in the exclusive group.
They've produced at least seven draftees in two of the last five drafts as well.
Here are some of the most notable performances in Week 1 of the NFL season by former Gators -- minus Ricky Pearsall, who Hail Florida Hail highlighted earlier this week.
Kyle Pitts
Pitts has largely underwhelmed since being selected by the Falcons with the fourth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
He certainly didn't underwhelm in Week 1, catching seven of his eight targets for 59 yards. His seven receptions were tied for the second-best total of his career.

Pitts has had some big performances, but hasn't maintained a level of consistency since entering the league.
Jonathan Greenard
Greenard was featured during the Vikings' comeback win on Monday Night Football. According to Pro Football Focus, Greenard generated seven quarterback pressures and a pair of quarterback hits.
The Vikings had 30 pressures last night vs. the Bears according to @PFF.

While he wasn't able to parlay his pressures into a sack and finished with two tackles, the edge rusher got consistent pressure on what should be an improved Chicago Bears offensive line.
Chimere Dike
Dike, a seventh-round pick by the Titans in 2025, served as Tennessee's kick and punt returner in his NFL debut. He totaled 144 yards on four kick returns and his lone punt return went for 12 yards.
He drew praise from the Titans special teams coordinator for his decision making.

Dike directly contributed to the Titans' point total, logging a 71-yard kick return late in the first half to set up a field goal.

Kaiir Elam
After spending his first three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Elam was traded to the Cowboys this offseason.
The former first-round pick struggled in his Dallas debut. Elam was targeted five times in the season opener, allowing five receptions for 74 yards,.

Gervon Dexter
Dexter, a second round pick by the Chicago Bears in 2023, had a breakout 2024 season, racking up 51 tackles, five sacks and two fumble recoveries.
He picked up right where he left off against the Vikings on Monday night, notching a sack.
Gervon Dexter Sr is a demon tonight for the #Bears DL. At least one whole sack, a TFL, and constantly shutting down the interior. Vikings have no answers for him alone, and even fewer when he’s on the field alongside Grady Jarrett.
