The Florida Gators are officially a top four finalist to steal one of the top EDGEs in the transfer portal.

Hayes Fawcett reported that according to On3Sports, Miami (OH) transfer EDGE Adam Trick has narrowed his recruitment to four schools: Texas Tech, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and the University of Florida. Per On3Sports, Trick has official visits to all four schools already planned.

Trick is 6’4”, 250lb redshirt junior who has been with Miami (OH) for all of his first three seasons of collegiate football.

Last season the Dayton, Ohio native appeared in all 13 games for the Redhawks. Over the course of the season he had 59 tackles (26 solo and 33 assisted). Of those, 12.5 were for a loss, forcing opponents into 83 yards lost on tackles.

Trick had 8.5 sacks in 2025-’26, for 69 yards. He added on three forced fumbles, and one interception for nine yards.

Our Fansided sister site Saturday Blitz has Tick ranked as the No. 4 EDGE in the transfer portal.

Over the course of his career, the redshirt junior has 41 total solo tackles and 61 assisted tackles for 102 total yards in 40 games played (13 in 2023, 14 in 2024, 13 in 2025). Of those tackles, 18 were for loss, forcing opponents back a total of 103 yards. He had two interceptions in his three seasons at Miami (OH), six passes defended, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

Of his two interceptions, he got 14 total yards, with his longest interception return of nine yards.

Trick announced his plan to enter the transfer portal in early December and became officially eligible to enter on Friday. The portal window is now open until January 16, so Trick is expected to have a decision made in the next two weeks, leading up to the close of the portal.

He joins a list of seven other players who are expected to visit Florida during the transfer portal window.
