A few weeks ago when Florida knocked off then No. 9 Texas, Gator GM Jacob LaFrance took the X to tweet out "Sun Belt Billy and the boys..." It was not received well by Gator fans, who didn't feel that one win at home undid 3+ years of data that Billy Napier needed to go.

Fast forward two games, and Sun Belt Billy was let go by Florida.

LaFrance's tweet had turned into a meme of its own, and on Tuesday night, fans realized someone on X was all of a sudden very determined to defend LaFrance.

Potential burner account defends Jacob LaFrance

Gator fans started noticing on X some tweets from a user named @MDonahough9391 who was responding to fans in regard to Lafrance.

User @Harrison954_ posted a screenshot of a series of replies this account had made, calling people losers and using other expletives that are not safe for children.

At one point, this account made a reply stating:

"Man, you sure know alot for being a random on twitter (sic)."

If you are keeping score at home, this account had 11 followers.

This account also had a reply this week when talking about Tim Brando's "toxic" fans comment:

"I guess your dumba** doesn't know what toxic means. Open a dictionary (clown). This fanbase is as toxic as it gets."

Once fans started accusing this account of being a burner account of LaFrance on Tuesday night, the account was deleted from X.

Let it burn

If you are still lost as to what potentially has happened here, the allegation from Gator fans is that LaFrance made a separate account to then go onto X and argue with fans who dared question Napier and/or took umbrage with the "Sun Belt Billy and the boys.." tweet from after the Texas game, which was also deleted.

It would be par for the course as Gator coaches during the Billy Napier Era were known to be very hyper-aware of what was being said online, which was ironic considering Napier's constant message of blocking the outside noise.

Whether or not this account was LaFrance, all we know is that Florida is 22-23 since he arrived in Gainesville.
