There’s a new stat in the Florida Gators' athletics history book. For the first time in University of Florida history, a Gator has reached a 20/20 club milestone.
Former Gator baseball outfielder, Wyatt Langford, on Tuesday became the first Gator in MLB history to reach the 20 home runs, 20 stolen bases club when he stole his 20th base of the season. He went on to acquire stolen base No. 21 on Wednesday night, and his 20th home run of the season came on August 31, and he hit home run No. 21 on September 1.

Langford joins elite Rangers company as well by becoming the 13th Texas Ranger to join the 20/20 club.
He is the 16th player to do it in 2025. Pete Crow-Armstrong is the only player younger than Langford to do it in 2025, and he is only older than Langford by four months.
So far this season, Langford is batting .241/.342/.427, with a .769 OPS. He has a total 117 hits, including 25 doubles, a triple, 21 home runs. In 131 games played, he has 61 RBIs, 72 walks, and as mentioned above, also has 21 stolen bases.
The 6’0”, 225lb was recently named the Rangers player of the month for August after hitting .287 on the month with five home runs, 14 RBIs, and had a .945 OPS on the month.

Just two years removed from the University of Florida, the Trenton, Florida native is making a name for himself in the MLB. He was drafted just two years ago in the first round of the 2023 MLB draft (pick No. 4 overall). He made his MLB debut last season on March 28 and has continued to break out since for the Rangers. Many believe it won’t be long before the young player reaches the 40/40 milestone.
