When one thinks of the Florida Gators from the 1990s through the Urban Meyer Era, there is no shortage of Gator greats to choose from when deciding who were some of the best players in the country from that era.

With the latest round of Hall of Fame nominees announced, the Gators are hoping to have a few more enshrined in Atlanta.

Florida Gators have three players on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame

Three Florida Gators legends—Alex Brown, Brad Culpepper, and Percy Harvin—have been nominated for the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame.

Brown was with Florida from 1998 to 2001 and is still the all-time sack leader with the Gators with 33 career sacks and holds the single-season record with 13 in 1999. Brown was a two-time First Team All-American and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2001.

He went on to play nine seasons in the NFL, and in 2012, he was inducted into the UF Athletics Hall of Fame.

Culpepper was with the Gators from 1988 to 1991 and was a First Team All-American, as well as a recipient of the Campbell Trophy, which is given to the nation's top scholar-athlete.

He was a part of Florida's first SEC title in 1991 and his 47.5 tackles for a loss are still a school record for a defensive lineman. In 2001, Culpepper was inducted into the UF Hall of Fame.

Harvin broke the mold of what a "wide receiver" was from 2006 to 2008 and was a two-time First-Team All-American. Harvin was with Florida for two SEC and two national titles. He was the first Gator in history to post 100 rushing and 100 receiving yards in the same game and remains one of just two players in FBS history to surpass 1,500 rushing and receiving yards since 1996.

Florida currently has 15 total inductees in the Hall of Fame, comprising 10 players and five coaches. Notable recent inductees include Tim Tebow in 2023 and Urban Meyer in 2025. Florida legend Steve Spurrier holds the rare distinction of being inducted into both the College Football Hall of Fame as a player and as a coach.

The 2026 Hall of Fame class will be announced in January 2026, with the official induction taking place on December 8, 2026, at the NFF Annual Awards Dinner.

Voting runs through July 1.
