It was a bit of a roller coaster for Florida Gator fans who may have been watching the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. The Royals prominently feature two former Gators, Jonathan India and Jac Caglianone.
In the same game, one had a memorable moment with a walk-off home run while the other hurt his hamstring and is now off to the IL.

It was a tight game throughout as the Royals took on the Cleveland Guardians, which went into extra innings with the game tied at 2-2.
Cleveland scored in the top half of the 10th, but Kansas City was able to avert disaster and limited Cleveland to just one run.
Down 3-2 in the bottom of the 10th, Kansas City had their leadoff batter walk, then had their ghost runner on 2nd picked off, then had another walk to set up runners on 1st and 2nd with one out.
India is not known as a power guy and had just four home runs on the season coming into the at bat. But on a 1-2 count, India was able to turn on a hanging slider and deposit it 413 feet over the left field fence to walk it off for the Royals.

Noteable too is that his home run came off Emmanuel Clase, who had pegged India in the head earlier this season with a 98 MPH fastball.
It was the first career MLB walk-off home run for India, who was a part of the 2017 national title squad for Florida, before a massive year in 2018 led to him getting drafted with the 5th overall pick by the Reds.
For Gators fans, though, India's moment was against the backdrop of Jac Caglianone injuring his hamstring. Caglianone grounded into a double play in the 2nd inning and left the game afterwards.
After flying through the minor leagues and having some bad luck during his first week in the Big Leagues, it has been a struggle for Caglianone. He is batting just .147 with an OPS of .485. He has five home runs on the season, and he has a strikeout rate of 22.8% with just eight walks to go against 34 strikeouts.
Caglianone will be on the IL for at least 10 days.
