The 2024 season is officially over for Florida Football and the Gators have finished the year 8-5 after beating Tulane 33-8 in the Gasparilla Bowl.

The game was a chance for Billy Napier to trot out some guys who didn't play a ton this year. The following are four players who got a notable uptick in snaps on Friday.

Alfonzo Allen

Even the most diehard of diehard fans were having to squit at their roster when Alfonzo Allen picked off a pass, but the transfer from Baylor got 23 snaps on the day.

Allen's only other action this year was mop-up snaps against Miami, Samford, and Kentucky. In addition to his pick, he had a tackle and didn't give up any receptions.

LJ McCray

Now, to a player most fans are probably aware of, LJ McCray got his most snaps of the season with 33. His previous high for his freshman campaign was 21.

We had stated before the game we wanted to see McCray get a sack. That didn't happen as McCray was credited with one tackle but with no pressure.

Roderick Kearney

2025 will hopefully be a chance for Roderick Kearney to get increased snaps, but with the bulk of Florida's offensive line coming back, competition will be tough.

With Dameion George out, Kearney got 42 snaps and didn't allow a pressure.

Bryce Lovett

With Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson out, Bryce Lovett also got an extended run on Friday. He has been used throughout the year as a rotational guard on both the left and right side, but he was bounced out to right tackle against Tulane.

Lovett took 73 snaps and did not allow a pressure either throughout the game.

With right tackle being the one spot along the offensive line, the Gators definitely have to replace, it was a solid audition by Lovett.
