Former Florida Football star Kadarius Toney seems to always be in the headlines in the NFL, both good and bad. After being drafted by the New York Giants in the 1st round in 2021, Toney eventually wound up with the Kansas City Chiefs and had the longest punt return in Super Bowl history in Super Bowl LVII to help the Chiefs win.

But he also had a disastrous opening to the 2023 season and spent 2024 with the Cleveland Browns. Add in an arrest back in February, and it seems something is always going on with Toney.

So it was almost par for the course on Thursday when rumours started swirling that Toney was retiring from football to foucs on a music career. Toney took to Instagram late Thursday night to clear the air and make it clear he isn't retiring just yet.

Florida Football: Yung Joka

A variety of accounts on X started claiming that Toney had gone on Instagram Live and claimed that Toney had stated he was retiring from football to focus on his rap career under the name Yung Joka.

No actual video of his statement ever surfaced, but as the rumors grew and grew, Toney took to his Instagram Story to provide an update:

"Goofies on the net hollerin I'm retiring. Just want klout. Ain't speakin on the [poop emoji] nomo."

"Love da attention for my musik tho. It's been a passion."

Toney was waived by the Browns back in December when he was called for a taunting penalty and later muffed a punt against the Steelers. No one picked up Toney and he is still a free agent this offseason.

During his time with the Gators, he had 1,590 receiving yards, 984 of which came during the 2020 campaign. Toney had 10 receiving touchdowns that season to elevate him to a first-round draft pick.
