Former Florida Football WR Andy Jean is back in the transfer portal

The spring transfer portal will soon be open for a business, and former Florida Football wide receiver Andy Jean has announced that he intends to hop back into the portal when it opens.

Jean came to Florida out of Miami as a four-star prospect in the class of 2023. He was part of the talented trio of Eugene Wilson and Aidan Mizell.

When he committed to Florida, we noted:

"Jean is a member of Northwestern's state championship-winning 4 x 1 squad in track, and his speed consistently shows up in his game film.

Even against high-caliber opponents like Tampa Jesuit and IMG Academy, Jean has multiple plays on his film where he simply outruns everyone to score a touchdown.

Jean had six catches, 122 yards, and two touchdowns against IMG last season.

Overall, he finished with 40 catches, 733 yards, and eight touchdowns during the 2021 season.

Jean also isn't afraid to block, something that isn't automatic among high school wide receivers."

During the 2023 campaign with Florida, he had six catches for 97 yards.

Injuries didn't help Jean's time in Gainesville, and he was listed on the injury report this year with an "upper body" injury for the first half of the season.

He ultimately appeared in just five games over two seasons.

Jean opted to hit the transfer portal during the winter and leave Florida.

He had interest from Louisville but ultimately chose to go to Pittsburgh.

Jean took to X yesterday to announce that his time at Pittsburgh would be coming to an end. In a post, he said:

"I truly hate that I have to make this decision again! But I will be entering my name in the transfer portal. With 3 years of eligibility left."
