The journey of former Florida Football star Jason Marshall to the NFL Combine was far from smooth. He was seen as a potential 1st round pick heading into 2023, before a disappointing season led him to return in 2024.
Marshall was once again starting to look like a potential 1st round pick before a season-ending shoulder injury sidelined him in the back half of 2024.
Healthy once again, Marshall took to the Combine, and while he probably won't ascend into the 1st round, he proved his worth to maybe convince a NFL team to take him in the 2nd or 3rd round.
Florida Football: I believe I can fly
We noted in our Combine preview that the calling card for Marshall was his willingness to be physical. In 2024, once Marshall decided to stop being afraid of contact, he flipped a switch and looked every bit of a lockdown corner in the SEC.
His 40-yard dash time of 4.49 seconds was elite but it was good enough that it shouldn't raise any major red flags.
Where Marshall shined was in the vertical jump, where he placed 3rd among all defensive backs with a leap of 37.5".
According to Kent Lee Platte of RAS, Marshall's Combine stats make him the 239th best prospect out of 2480 defensive back draft prospects since 1987.
Jason Marshall Jr. is a CB prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.04 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 239 out of 2480 CB from 1987 to 2025.

Heading into the Combine, most mock drafts had Marshall pegged around the 5th or 6th round. Even if he doesn't bump into Day 2, his performance in Indianapolis should help him hold serve as an early Day 3 pick with a real shot of making an NFL roster come September.
The NFL Draft will be a three-day event from April 24 to April 26. Green Bay will host the festivities. The Gators have nine players at the NFL Combine hoping to hear their name called in April.
