Well, with another loss in the books and a Florida squad that seems to be running out of answers, it is time for our weekly winners and losers segment. And this won’t be much of a shock; there weren’t too many winners for Florida on Saturday night in The Swamp.
Winners and losers from Florida’s loss to Oklahoma
Winner - Duke Clark
Let’s start on a positive note, because we noted throughout the game on social media and in some of our various post-game pieces that Duke Clark looked like the only player for Florida who had any kind of noticeable spark to him on Saturday. PFF had Jadan Baugh, but we would argue that Clark felt more dangerous with his seven carries than Baugh did for most of his 14 carriers.
Don’t take our word for it; take Jon Sumrall’s:
“And so I don't think we played good enough anywhere offensively to put ourselves in a position to win. I thought Duke Clark flashed, but outside of that, I didn't really feel like we had a very good performance as a whole.”
Loser - Caden Jones
Filling in for the injured Emeka Ugorji, Caden Jones instantly reminded everyone why he began 2025 as a starter but was promptly rotated out. Again, going off PFF grades, he actually graded out as Florida’s best pass blocker of the night.
But back-to-back holding calls on Florida’s first drive to wipe out back-to-back first downs were a brutal look and summed up the problems of Florida’s offense.
Winner - Bailey Stockton
As a receiver, he didn’t do much as he once again went through his routine of being on the injured list but still managing to play. What we did like from Stockton was a couple of his punt returns that did seem to give Florida at least a hint of life.
Loser- Eric Singleton Jr.
As a caveat, we don’t know how lingering the effects of the ankle injury he suffered five plays into the season. But he was healthy enough to be on the field last night for 40 plays, and he had a grand total of one target. This follows last week where he had nine targets that resulted in 19 yards and a ball that went through his hands, resulting in an interception.
Winner - Hayden Hansen
Wait, he now plays for Oklahoma.
Oops.
The irony of his wide-open TD is that while it may have felt like catharsis for him, he was mostly invisible for the rest of the night. But he came back to The Swamp and got a win, so he gets to be a winner.
Loser - Buster Faulkner
The shine is gone, and there is no getting around the fact that this offense has become a massive liability. We noted above the disappearance of Singleton. Well, he was Faulkner’s hand-picked wide receiver out of the portal.
We’ve said it a couple of times on the site, but we will say it again:
Florida has accumulated 1,480 total yards on offense over the past five games. That is the worst five-game stretch for Florida over the past ten years.
