As the Florida Gators get ready to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, or so it used to be named, the Gators are going to be without several key playmakers in the matchup.
And while Georgia is going to miss a couple of starters, the bye week didn't seem to get Florida magically healthy.
Is Vernell Brown III playing against Georgia?
No.
Brown III had an AC joint sprain in his shoulder during the win over Mississippi State before the bye week. Unfortunately, the two weeks have not been enough, and the dynamic freshman has been ruled out against Georgia.
What about Aidan Mizell?
Nope, he is out too against Georgia.
Mizell had a big touchdown last year in this game, but he will not get to have a sequel this season. Mizell left the game early against Mississippi State with a leg issue and returned to the sidelines on crutches.
Who else is out for Florida?
Caleb Banks is the most notable name, and the odds of him returning this season feel slim. Banks had foot surgery after the LSU loss.
Treyaun Webb, Ja'Kobi Jackson, LJ McCray, Aaron Gates, Dijon Johnson, and Javion Toombs are all listed as out for Florida, while Duke Clark appears to be a game-time decision.
Did anyone return for the Gators?
Most notably, Jordan Castell, Devin Moore, and Cormani McClain did not appear on the injury report after having issues prior to the bye week. All three missed the game against Mississippi State, which forced Florida to rely on a young secondary to hold up.
Does Georgia have anyone hurt?
The Bulldogs have four players listed as out on their injury report. Most notable is safety Kyron Jones, who had a foot injury against Ole Miss.
Wide receiver Colbie Young, who broke his leg in the first quarter against Ole Miss last week, is also going to be out.
The other two players out for Georgia, Ethan Barbour and Talyn Taylor, have been out for multiple weeks.
