During his lone season with the Florida Gators, Elijhah Badger had a fascinating stat line by the time the 2024 season was over. Badger caught just 39 passes over 12 games, but he also racked up 806 yards to average 20.7 yards per catch.
As Florida puts together its class of 2027, it has its eyes on one wide receiver with a near-identical stat line from his 2025 high school season.
Florida to host Anthony Jennings in June
Anthony Jennings is a wide receiver from Fort Lauderdale. Listed at 6’1” and 175 pounds, he is a top 100 prospect with Rivals, a solid four-star with ESPN, and a three-star with 247.
So why the discrepancy between the services?
Well, he doesn’t have an imposing frame, and he is not considered a speedster (he ran track in 2025 but didn’t make it out of regionals individually), yet his film paints the picture of a pure playmaker who feels like a touchdown threat every time he touches the ball.
Jennings feels almost impossible to bring down, and almost every time he catches the ball, he is either making someone miss or he is keeping his balance to stay upright and gain extra yards when most wide receivers would have gone down. His stat line from 2025 with Dillard High was 34 catches for 823 yards. That’s 24.2 yards per catch for those keeping score at home. On those 34 catches, he racked up 11 TDs and had at least one touchdown in each of the eight games he played in (according to MaxPreps) in 2025.
Camps tend to dictate star rankings, and it makes sense why Jennings might not be the type of player to excel where there is no contact involved, but make no mistake, he is a more than capable playmaker who looks better with the pads on than without.
Jennings confirmed to both On3 and 247 that he will be taking an official visit to Florida in June. He also got recent offers from Auburn and Virginia Tech, and has previous offers from Miami, FSU, and Georgia, among others.
