“We’re gonna win.” Those were three of the big words echoed by Jon Sumrall in his introductory press conference in December, and a player who committed to the University of Florida on the same day Jadan Baugh re-signed with the Gators solidified just how serious Sumrall is to wanting to win.

Per On3, according to Hayes Fawcett, Jadan Baugh will be joined on the field  in The Swamp that is Ben Hill Griffin Stadium by the powerhouse standout from Cincinnati, running back Evan Pryor. Pryor is a 5’10”, 198lbs senior from Cornelius, North Carolina. He was ranked 194th overall in the transfer portal and was the No. 16 running back. But he also has the ability to come onto the field for kick returns as well.

Pryor spent the first two seasons of his career at Ohio State University. He appeared in just eight games between 2021-2024.  In those eight games he rushed for a combined 147 yards with one touchdown. He had three receiving receptions for 10 total yards.

After two seasons with the Buckeyes Pryor transferred to the University of Cincinnati where his career took off fast.

Over the course of the last two seasons with the Bearcats of Cincinnati, Pryor has 940 rushing yards, 288 yards receiving, and eleven touchdowns. 522 of those yards were last season on 76 carries. He also had three rushing touchdowns in 2025. Last season Pryor was tied for fifth in the Big 12 as well for 14 runs of 10+ yards in a season.

The list of accolades and stats continue for Pryor. Over the course of his four-year career he has played in 30 games, accumulating 1,087 career all-purpose rush yards and 298 all purpose receiving yards for a total of 1,408 all-purpose yards on the career, with the 12 touchdowns mentioned.

The senior who according to stats is untouchable with the football in his hands will now bring his talents down to Florida for his final year of eligibility and many are already calling Baugh and Pryor “one of the best 1-2 punches” in the country.

For Gator fans, this is the excitement they needed and they are all buzzing over on social media hyped up to see Baugh and Pryor in the same uniform and on the same side of the ball in 2026.
