Two weeks ago, the Florida Gators were on the wrong side of a comically bad call when replay officials didn't want to give J. Michael Sturdivant credit for a ball he caught. The play sealed Florida's fate against Georgia, and Florida wouldn't see the ball again.
Once again this weekend, as Florida was trying to gear up for one final drive, the Gators were royally screwed by an officiating decision that was originally called correct and then reversed for no reason.
Refs pick up a flag on pass interference to doom Florida
Down three points with 2:36 to go, the Gators took over on their own three-yard line after a goal-line stand. DJ Lagway looked to find Jadan Baugh out of the backfield, but the Ole Miss defender clocked Baugh before the pass arrived.
The flag was thrown, and it would have given the Gators some needed momentum when all it needed was a field goal to tie the game.
Then somehow, someway, the refs came together and picked up the flag with next to no reason why.
SEC Officiating moment of the day:

Respectfully, what in the actual hell are we doing here?
It's one thing if one thought it was a bang-bang play live and the refs just missed it. That happens in sports all the time, as annoying as it may be.
But to throw the flag correctly, then come back and go "You know what? Just kidding," starts to open up conspiracy theories about SEC refs.
Because there have been some questionable and borderline shady decisions from SEC refs this season, some of which were so bad they had to suspend the ref for the year (looking at you, Auburn ref).
And so, as Florida is officially eliminated from bowl contention, mark the picked-up flag as just another frustrating moment from a frustrating season that most Gator fans would rather forget.
