Florida MBB coach Todd Golden reportedly accused of sexual harassment and stalking

Just one day after announcing that Florida Gators football coach Billy Napier will be back next season, a major, concerning update has come in on basketball coach Todd Golden for athletic director Scott Stricklin to deal with.

In some stunning news on Friday, The Alligator, Florida's student newspaper on campus, is reporting that multiple women have come forward to accuse hoops coach Todd Golden of sexual harassment and stalking. Rumors circulated on social media, but The Alligator was able to confirm the accusations via Title IX documents they obtained.

"The claims regarding sexual harassment, which could also include sexual exploitation, cited unwanted sexual advances on Instagram, requesting sexual favors, sending photos and videos of his genitalia while traveling for UF and various occasions of stalking. There was allegedly more than one occasion in which Golden was taking photos of women walking or driving and sending those pictures to the subjects involved. Various stalking incidents also included Golden showing up to locations where he knew the women would be."

This alarming report on Golden comes just one day after the Gators improved to 2-0 on the season after taking down Jacksonville on Thursday night 81-60. Alex Condon led the way with his 23 points in the victory.

However, the focus has quickly shifted from the Florida win to the new report from The Alligator. In their update, multiple women, including former students, claimed that Golden would not only like their posts on Instagram and send them messages, but that he would also go to places he knew they'd be at.

This happened on more than one occasion per The Alligator. This is of course an ongoing investigation and more details are sure to come in the near future. As of this writing, Florida is yet to make any kind of announcement regarding Golden as well.

Golden arrived at Florida in 2022 as head coach after previously being the leader for San Francisco. Golden helped the Gators post four wins over ranked teams last season - he has six wins over Top 25 squads with Florida.
