Tell me everything is wonderful now! While the Florida Gators still have plenty of work to do to get back to their lofty standard under new head coach Jon Sumrall, he has his eyes on his quarterback recruit of the future. Wonderful "Champ" Monds IV has been tied to the Gators for quite a while. The Vero Beach native is starting to put together his plans for spring visits. Where is he going this spring?

Tom Loy of 247Sports shared out on social media on Thursday night the list of Monds' spring visits.

As you can see, Monds is taking spring visits to Florida on March 26, Florida State on March 28, Ohio State on April 4, Miami on April 11, and up to Notre Dame on April 18. According to the 247Sports Composite, Monds is a four-star quarterback prospect, the No. 28 player from Florida, the No. 17 overall player at his position group, and the No. 254 overall prospect for the 2027 recruiting cycle.

Monds has 34 official offers, including ones from all five Power Four schools he intends to visit with.

In addition to those five schools listed above, Monds also has scholarship offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. Clearly, he has honed in on the five that make the most sense for him. Those would be the three Power Four schools of note from his native Florida, as well as two traditional powers in the midwest.

Although Tulane does not appear to be one of the places who heavily recruited him previously, there does seem to be a strong connection between Monds and Gainesville, prior to Jon Sumrall taking over as head coach. He may favor the otherside of the football, but Sumrall is one of the best up-and-coming head coaches in the profession. All he does is win, win, win, no matter what. He is fantastic!

To tie a bow on this, Florida getting the first visit of the five Monds is taking is significant, but not as much as one would think. This may have more to do with the timing of each team's spring practice schedule and whatnot. Regardless, being able to be on-campus with Sumrall and his staff in a little over a month is another positive sign that Monds could be making his commitment to Florida soon.

One thing that serves Florida a ton is they usually start their homegrown players at quarterback, too.
