The next month is going to be massive for Florida and Jon Sumrall to make waves and try to lock down a top-five recruiting class for the class of 2027. The Gators have seen their overall ranking bounce up and down a bit, but currently hold firm in the top ten for this year’s class.

With official visits taking place this weekend, one of the headliners Florida is hosting would be another high-end addition to a unit that has already landed some big names.

Antonio Berry among the headliners for Florida’s official visits

Antonio Berry is an OT from Tupelo, MS. Listed at 6’5” and 300 pounds, Berry is a consensus four-star with Rivals ranking him the highest at No. 32 overall for the class of 2027.

His film is a bit tricky to make out, but for the most part, there is no mistaking his presence on the field. It doesn’t seem to matter what moves opponents throw at him, he has the movement to match them while also having the power to put opposing linemen on the ground with ease. It helps that he sports a 6’10” wingspan as well.

Florida only recently offered Berry, but they are hoping that a solid visit this weekend can start to help them pick up steam. As it stands, he only has official visits lined up with Florida, Colorado, and Alabama.

As is going to be the case with any top 100 overall offensive linemen at this point in recruiting, the question is whether or not Florida is going to push hard to land yet another offensive lineman when they already have Maxwell Hiller, Elijah Hutcheson, and Peyton Miller committed for this class. Miller is also in town for his official visit and will no doubt be used to make a push for Berry.

Overall, Florida has 16 commitments lined up and is ranked 6th in the 247 rankings and 8th in the Rivals rankings.
