Florida spent the last couple of weeks criss crossing he country to try and lay the foundation for their recruiting class of 2027. They have landed one commitment and hope to start to pick up steam as they progress towards the summer.
While the Gators spent most of their time in the state of Florida, they did make a trip to Pennsylvania and have laid the groundwork for an EDGE who feels like a one-man wrecking crew.
Florida is going after Abraham Sesay
Abraham Sesay is an EDGE from Exton, Pennsylvania, about 40 minutes outside of Philadelphia. Sesay is listed at 6’5” and 220 pounds and is considered a four-star by Rivals and 247, while ESPN has him as a three-star.
On film, his first step jumps out immediately as something no one seems to have an answer for. It doesn’t seem to matter whether he lines up inside or outside along the defensive line; opposing linemen just don’t have the ability to keep up. And Sesay isn’t just a pure outside rusher, as he will cross things up and beat you inside or beat you on a stunt or twist.
His pursuit of the QB is great, and he is not afraid to bring down opposing QBs with violence. Sesay also plays a little bit of tight end, and his catch radius is solid enough that, frankly, he could probably be a tight end in college if he chose to do so.
Florida offered Sesay last week and joined the long list of suitors who are starting to line up for him. Oregon, Penn State, Miami, Georgia, Auburn, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Alabama are among the schools that have offered Sesay, so it is not going to be easy for Florida to win this recruiting battle.
The next goal for the Gators is to get Sesay on campus for an official visit as his recruitment is starting to heat up.
