One of the backdrops of Florida's season has been the injuries to several key players. Beyond the offseason drama with DJ Lagway, the wide receiver group had on-again, off-again injuries all throughout fall camp that have extended into the regular season.

With Florida set to take on Texas in an SEC contest, the Wednesday injury report was released, and it looks like this Saturday, Gator fans are going to get to see the debut of one of the more anticipated players on Florida's squad.

Dallas Wilson appears ready to go this Saturday

The initial Wednesday injury report had six players listed as out for the Gators:

  • Caleb Banks
  • Aaron Gates
  • Ja'Kobi Jackson
  • Dijon Johnson
  • LJ McCray
  • Treyaun Webb

Of that group, Jacson is probably the most notable in terms of being a "surprise" addition.

But what this report also means is that, on paper, Florida's wide receiver group is healed up and ready to go, and Dallas Wilson is finally set to make his official debut in the Orange and Blue.

Wilson flipped to Florida after signing with Oregon on Signing Day, and had a monster day at Florida's Spring Game, amassing close to 200 yards receiving.

But then an injury late in fall camp extended through the first four games of the season, delaying his debut to this week.

Beyond Wilson, the injury report also indicates that Aidan Mizell should be good to go against Texas. Mizell's usage has come into focus after taking less than 20 snaps against USF and LSU, even though he had Florida's lone TD against LSU. He then missed the game against Miami even though he was dressed out, and only through some vague back channels was it indicated he was hurt.

Also of note, Michai Boireau, George Gumbs Jr., Brendan Bett, and J. Michael Sturdivant should be healthy and ready to go for Texas.
