Justin Williams is a do-it-all wide receiver from Gainesville listed at 5'11" and 190 pounds. Playing for Buchholz High, Williams is listed as a four-star on three of the four main recruiting sites, with On3 having him the highest at 150th overall.
This past season, Williams racked up 1,005 yards receiving and 1,005 yards rushing. He became the first high school player since NFL legend Devin Hester to accomplish the feat in the state of Florida.
Williams is in town this weekend for this official visit with the Gators. Beyond the crazy stat line, what else would Williams bring to the table for Florida?
Justin Williams is a one-man offense
On film, Williams lines up litteraly everywhere. He will line up out wide, in the backfield, or even as a wildcat.
It's no secret what Williams wants to do ane, yet seemingly no one has the answer for how to stop him. He has the speed to get behind secondaries but still has the hands to make contested catches as needed.
Even though he is "just" 5'11" and 190 pounds, he eats contact in the backfield and keeps going like a running back who is 210 pounds.
There really isn't a ton of negatives to Williams, and he could easily be boosted up the recruiting rankings.
As an added bonus, he also plays baseball with Buchholz.
Williams is still uncommitted and doesn't have any crystal balls logged in his favor. Outside of Florida, the other official visits he has lined up are with FSU, Kentucky, and Indiana.
If Billy Napier and his crew want Williams, there really isn't a reason why the Gators shouldn't be able to land him, outside of Williams just not gelling with Napier and/or someone coming in with a financial offer that Williams can't refuse.
