Now that Florida football's spring practice is over, it is time to think ahead to one of the key annual dates on the calendar: SEC Football Kickoff Media Days presented by Regions.
Or, something like that.
That annual event will take place in Atlanta this year at the College Football Hall of Fame and Omni Atlanta Hotel.
Billy Napier and the rest of Florida will be slated to speak on July 16. Florida will be going on the same day as Alabama, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma.
Based on past Media Days, there probably won't be anything groundbreaking coming from Napier, but it will be a nice reminder that college football season is right around the corner.
Lacrosse Pummles Stetson
For the first quarter of Tuesday's contest between Florida and Stetson, one might have thought that the five-win Hatters had a shot at pulling off a seismic upset over the Gators. Stetson scored first and Florida was up just 2-1 after the first quarter.
Then the second quarter happened, and Florida reminded Stetson why the Hatters are a five-win team in 2025.
The No. 4 Gators went on a 10-0 run in the second quarter as part of a larger 16-0 run to cruise to a 20-4 win.
Gabby Greene and Clark Hamilton both had hat tricks for Florida.
Florida is now 13-2 on the season and has two regular season games left before their conference tournament. Since the SEC doesn't have lacrosse as a sanctioned sport, Florida is a member of the Big 12 for lacrosse.
Women's Tennis Starts SEC Tournament
Women's Tennis will start their bid to try and make a run in the SEC Tournament today. The Gators finished the regular season 8-13 overall and 4-11 in SEC play.
The Gators are the 12th seed and will take on Alabama today at 4 PM ET.
Auburn is the host for this tournament, and it follows the same format as basketball, where teams seeded 9th through 16th will have to win five matches in a row to win the tournament, while the top four seeds will all get a double bye.
The winner today moves on to face Vanderbilt tomorrow at 4 PM.
