Jadan Baugh and DJ Lagway have both garnered some more preseason attention as both have been named to a preseason watchlist.

Baugh was named to the Paul Hornung Award list, which is given to "the most versatile player" in college football. Baugh had a big freshman campaign after having to step up once Montrell Johnson and Treyaun Webb went down with injuries. On the ground, Baugh had 673 yards with eight total touchdowns.

But what also landed Baugh on this list was that he was one of Florida's kick returners in 2024 and averaged 21.55 per return.

Lagway was put on the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy list, given to the player who " is a leader in the field of community service." Players who receive this award, in addition to community service, must have a 3.0 GPA and be a first-team player.

Mary Wise lands ESPN gig

Longtime Florida Gator volleyball coach Mary Wise stepped away from coaching following last season, but that doesn't mean she is stepping away from volleyball for good.

It was announced that Wise would serve as an analyst for ESPN this upcoming volleyball season.

Coincidentally, her first match with the network will be the AVCA First Serve, which is going to include Florida taking on Pittsburgh.

During her time with the Gators, Wise won 25 SEC titles and made the NCAA Tournament 34 straight times with eight Final Four appearances.

Track and field competes at USATF Championships

The USATF Championships are underway with spots to the World Championships in Tokyo on the line, and former Gator Claire Bryant has punched her ticket in the long jump.

The 2024 SEC champion and All-American placed second with a leap of 6.97m (22 feet & 10.41).

In the heptathlon, Anna Hall is in first place after day one. Hall was the 2022 NCAA champion and came in 5th at the Paris Olympics last summer.
