One of the massive problems Florida had in their exhibition loss to Baylor last week was a complete lack of three point shooting. The Gators had looks in that game they were capable of making, but just couldn’t find their shooting stroke. Tuesday was their final tune-up prior to the regular season starting next week as Florida took on Stetson in an exhibition game, and the Gators were able to hit some shots from deep en route to an 85-68 win.
It wasn’t the prettiest of wins as Florida was up just 42-40 at halftime, but Urban Klavzar got the start and went 6-12 from three to lead all scorers with 24 points. Denzel Aberdeen also made up for his poor showing against Baylor and had 22 points on 9-for-12 shooting overall. Alex Condon had four blocks as the Gators clamped down defensively in the second half to pull away.
Florida will officially start the season on Monday against Miami in Tampa.
Florida Softball continues perfect fall campaign
Florida Softball is also in their exhibition season, and they continued their perfect fall campaign with a 13-5 win over USF. As of this writing, there are no official stats available, but it does move the Gators to 4-0 in the fall. It is Florida’s most notable win of the fall so far, though they also beat Carson-Newman University 29-1 earlier this fall.
The most notable test this fall will come on November 13 when Florida takes on FSU at home.

The Gators are 17-2 on the season and are sitting in first place in the SEC. They are also ranked No. 4 overall.
This upcoming weekend, the Gators will take on Auburn on Friday on the road and Arkansas on Sunday at home.
