Florida Basketball is trying not to be like Gator Football and have half its team hurt heading into the 2025-26 campaign, and Todd Golden revealed this week they seem to be healing up just in time.

Golden told Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that transfers Boogie Fland and AJ Brown have been cleared to return after missing time over the offseason.

Fland had surgery for a sports hernia back in July, while Brown underwent shoulder surgery back in May.

The Gators are gearing up to defend their 2025 national title and will have to do so with a completely new backcourt. Basketball opens its season on November 3 against Arizona.

SEC schedule for Softball released

Gator Softball is hoping to make a return trip to Oklahoma City in 2026 and learned what their SEC schedule is going to look like for next season.

Florida will get a home series against Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi State, and Auburn. They will have to go on the road against Kentucky, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Georgia.

This means Florida also avoids Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others, during SEC play for the 2026 season.

The Gators went 48-17 in 2025 and returned to the Women's College World Series after knocking off Georgia in Super Regionals. Florida went 0-2 once in Oklahoma City to end their season.

The rest of Florida's schedule has yet to be announced.

Soccer to take on No. 9 Arkansas

Compared to past years, the non-conference slate for Florida Soccer was decent. The Gators will be entering SEC play with a record of 4-3-0.

But competition is set to ramp up as the Gators will take on No. 9 Arkansas to open conference play.

The only other top ten opponent Florida played this year was FSU, whom they lost to 5-0.

With just three wins in SEC play, the Gators can achieve their highest win total since 2019.
