Now that the dust is starting to settle on Florida Basketball's magical run through the NCAA Tournament, the Gators need to figure out what their roster is going to look like for the 2025/26 season.

Walter Clayton Jr., Alijah Martin, and Will Richard are gone due to graduation, but there is hope Florida can bring back their entire front court to anchor the team next season.

Both Alex Condon and Thomas Haugh are viewed as potential NBA Draft prospects, and Condon announced over the weekend that he will be testing the waters in the draft with the possibility of returning to Gainesville.

Clayton did the same thing last season.

For Condon, mock drafts have been all over the map, with some having him as a later 2nd round guy and others pegging him as a mid 1st round guy.

Colin Castleton signs with the Raptors

Former Gator big man Colin Castleton has been bouncing around the NBA this year. After originally coming into the NBA with the Lakers, Castleton has spent the 2024/25 season with Memphis, Toronto, and Philadelphia, as well as a G-League stint with the Osceola Magic.

Castleton had a ten-day contract earlier this year with the Raptors, but it wasn't renewed and that led him to a ten-day contract with the 76ers.

It was announced yesterday that Toronto is cycling back to Castleton, and he has signed a standard contract. The deal is non-guaranteed, and he will still have to make the roster next season.

Softball takes series from Ole Miss

Lost in the excitement of the spring game and the basketball celebration was softball going on the road to face No. 19 Ole Miss.

All three games in the series were slugfests, and the Gators took games one and two by scores of 8-7 and 14-3 before dropping game three 8-6.

Over the course of the weekend, Taylor Shumaker drove in her 61st RBI to set a freshman record for the Gators.

Mia Williams also had a huge weekend with six hits, three of which were a home run.

The Gators are now 37-9 overall and 9-6 in SEC play. Florida will take the field next this Thursday in a three-game set against Alabama.
