Another member of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets who entered the transfer portal is headed south to Gainesville for an official visit. According to Graham Hall of 247 Sports, wide receiver Bailey Stockton is joining his teammate, quarterback Aaron Philo, on an official visit to the Swamp this weekend.

Jon Sumrall recently hired former Georgia Tech staff members, including offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner and assistant quarterbacks coach AJ Erdely. So it’s not too much of a surprise that some of Georgia Tech’s players who entered the portal are visiting the school where their former coaches have landed.

Florida needing to reload at wide receiver

Florida is also in a position of really needing to sign some players through the portal after losing several wide receivers to the transfer portal this year, including Eugene Wilson III, along with Naeshaun Montgomery, Aiden Mizell, Muizz Tounkara, and Tank Hawkins.

It would make sense if the Gators are going after Philo, if they also take an opportunity to bring in Stockton, a player Philo is already comfortable playing alongside and throwing to.

Stockton, the 5’11”, 185lb redshirt sophomore played in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets in 2025-’26. He had 21 receptions, for 233 yards receiving, averaging 11.1 yards per carry.

On the ground, he had one rush attempt for five yards.

The Georgia native has been at Georgia Tech for the last three seasons. Over the course of those first three years, he has appeared in 26 games (two starts). He has 38 total receptions for 439 yards and one touchdown. That touchdown came in the 2024-25 season. On the ground, he has three rushes for 16 total yards.

Stockton has also served as a kick returner and punt returner all three years at Georgia Tech. He has just one kick return, but has 11 punt returns for 115 yards. In 2025-’26, he had six punt returns for a total of 58 yards.

In terms of all purpose yards, Stockton has 16 rushing yards, 439 receiving yards, 115 punt return yards, and had 23 yards from kick returns.

The transfer portal window officially opened Friday. Just one day before that, on New Year’s Day, Stockton penned his farewell letter to Georgia Tech and its fans noting that he was entering the transfer portal. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
