Billy Napier and his staff currently rank eighth nationally in the 2025 recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. With only minimal unsigned prospects remaining, the Florida staff has turned most of their efforts away from the 2025 class, hoping to convince future talent to join what Billy Napier is building in Gainesville.

With numerous prospects coming to town, Florida hopes to gather some names into their commitment fold and continue to contend for nationally rated prospects.

Florida Football: Drive My Carr

According to On3, Offensive Lineman G'nivre Carr will make his way to The Swamp this weekend. Carr, a native of Ocala, currently attends IMG Academy. A member of the 2026 class, Carr measures six feet and four inches with a weight of 336 pounds. He ranks as a four-star recruit, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Florida's charge for his services is being led by offensive line coaches Rob Sale and John Decoster. Both have faced harsh criticism from fans due to their recruiting performances. A win of Carr's services, which would include a commitment over top programs like Alabama and Georgia, would help solidify their positions within the Florida program.

Film evaluation

Carr's junior season film clearly exhibits his strong frame, which proves advantageous when matched up against incoming defensive linemen. Carr's ability to utilize his strength in order to bulldoze a defender is a luxury to have, especially in the college spectrum of football.

When dropping for pass protection, he shows a unique ability to restrain his defender, leaving few holes or weaknesses in his positioning. He's not able to display his strength as much, but he still often wins the positioning battle over his opponent, which plays crucial in preventing sacks or pressures.

His footwork and hand coordination are lacking compared to the rest of his play, but those qualities are likely to come with maturity and experience.

The Florida staff sees a player with potential. A lot of it. Carr may not come into the Florida facility with the greatest skills in the country, but Rob Sale and John Decoster may just be recruiting a future star.

He currently holds over thirty offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, and Texas A&M. On3's RPM does give Florida a slight edge at the moment.
