It is well documented that Florida Football was undefeated in 2024 in games that DJ Lagway started and finished for the Gators. It has also been well publicized that Florida is a contender to make the College Football Playoffs in 2025, in large part because of Lagway.

Combined with all the offseason accolades Lagway has been receiving, it makes sense he would be considered one of the main faces of college football, and a potentially leaked cover photo of the popular video game series College Football might just have Lagway on it this year.

Florida Football: It's in the game

Based on a report from Pete Nakos of On3, Lagway was in the Rose Bowl on Wednesday with a plethora of other college football stars to take part in a photoshoot for CFB 26. Other players reportedly in attendance included Caleb Downs, Dylan Stewart, Garrett Nussmeier, Jeremiyah Love, Jeremiah Smith, Bryce Underwood, Ryan Williams, and Sam Leavitt.

A photo on Instagram from user TubbyCFB showed all the players together, along with coaches Dan Lanning, James Franklin, Kenny Dillingham, Kirby Smart, Lane Kiffin, and Ryan Day.

The supposed leaked photo would be for the Deluxe Edition of the game, while other versions of the cover have yet to have leaks or announcements as to who may be featured on them. Tim Tebow, for example, was also in the photo shoot and is rumored to have a cover in the works.

Lagway is coming off his freshman campaign, where he earned Freshman All-American honors after becoming the full-time starter when Graham Mertz went down with a season-ending injury.

Lagway threw for 1,915 yards, 12 touchdowns, and nine interceptions off a 59.9% completion rate.

After Lagway suffered a hamstring injury against Georgia and missed the game against Texas, he came back to help lead Florida to a four-game winning streak to close out 2024, which included wins against LSU, Ole Miss, FSU, and Tulane in the Gasparilla Bowl.
