Florida Football star DJ Lagway has the potential to go down as one of the all-time greats in Gainesville before all is said and done. But as bright as his star may be in Gainesville, college football doesn't always have the worldwide reach compared to some other sports popular in America.

But thanks to the video game College Football 25, that reach is expanding, and it turns out that Lagway is, in fact, well-known in other pockets of the world.

The Brazillian soccer team CR Flamengo did a training session in The Swamp this week as they prepare for their upcoming season. The club plays in Brazil's top flight, and even though they don't play in Europe, they are one of the most popular clubs in the world, with over 56 million followers across their social media platforms.

To put that in perspective, the Dallas Cowboys are just a notch above 20 million followers on social media.

As part of the training session, center-back Leo Ortiz, who signed with Flamengo last season and made nine appearances with the club, met up with Lagway and admitted to the QB that he uses Lagway when playing CFB 25.

Gators' soccer coach Samantha Bohon and AD Scott Stricklin were also part of the festivities during the training session, as Flamengo is playing a series of preseason matches in Orlando and Fort Lauderdale in January.

Encounters like this may not immediately help the Gators win more games in 2025, but it is a reminder that the logo carries weight, and the more Florida can market itself in nontraditional manners like this, the better Florida can continue to expand its brand worldwide.
