One of the known preferences for Florida Football wide receiver coach Billy Gonzales is for taller receivers with the wingspan and catch radius needed to win one vs one jump balls.

This past cycle, the Gators brought in 6'3" receiver Dallas Wilson and Florida is slated to get a visit from one of the tallest receivers in the country for the class of 2026.

Florida Football: Jump Ball

Marquez Daniel is a 6'5" wide receiver from Tuskegee, AL. He is a consensus top 200 prospect, with 247 ranking him 110th, and Rivals and ESPN have him in the 190s.

On film, Daniel's height is evident and any DB who is under 6'0" has next to zero chance of matching up with him. His wingspan and catch radius make 50/50 balls more like an 80/20 ball, and he does make some tough catches in traffic.

He has a couple of double moves in his arsenal and has some play-making ability once the ball is in his hands.

We probably would agree most with the Rivals and ESPN ranking, as his overall speed doesn't quite match up with some other prospects, but that isn't to say Daniel is slow, as his long strides do allow him to get behind opposing DBs.

Daniel has been on campus multiple times already as Florida offered him last April. It appears now that Daniel is lining up his official visits and according to On3 he is slated to make an official visit to Florida in June.

Auburn is also in the mix, and Daniel recently got off from Georgia.

Given his sheer size, he is an intriguing prospect for sure that Florida seems to have a lot of early momentum on. As it stands, the Gators have just two players who have verbally committed to their class of 2026.
