Following a massive list of visitors who came to check out Florida Football last weekend, the Gators are gearing up for another list of visitors to come to town this weekend.
One of the planned visitors is a Syracuse commit, which the Gators just offered this week.
Florida Football: Big Man Can Move
Javeion Cooper is an offensive tackle listed at 6'4" and 295 pounds. His star ranking is all over the place, with On3 having him as a top 200 overall prospect. Rivals also has him as a four-star while 247 has him as a three-star while ESPN doesn't have him rated at all.
The end result is a 247 Composite ranking of 332nd, and this is probably fair.
What stands out on film for Cooper is not only his size, which dwarfs the level of competition he is going against, but also his excellent mobility to get downfield for blocks. There are moments where Cooper is outpacing opposing linebackers and defensive backs down the field while his running back gallops in for a touchdown.
Cooper even ran the 100-meter dash last track season. His time of 13.25 seconds isn't going to win a district title any time soon, but at 295 pounds he moves plenty fast for someone his size.
Cooper is committed to Syracuse, which was announced back in December. FSU has also been trying to enter the picture for Cooper, and he has been to Tallahassee a handful of times. He has previous offers from UCF, Penn State, and West Virginia.
