The bulk of the focus for Florida Football in recruiting right now is with the class of 2026. Even though National Signing Day is February 5, virtually everyone the Gators have for the class of 2025 is already signed and on campus.

But there is one late addition to the class of 2025 the Gators are going after who would be a massive addition to the roster if they can land him.

Florida Football: Buy My Own Flowers

J'Vari Flowers is a defensive back from Miami who was considered a top-100 prospect in the class of 2026. News broke yesterday that Flowers is reclassifying to the class of 2025, and On3 reported that Florida is in the mix to get a visit from Flowers.

If you have read our stuff over the last year, you know we have highlighted on a few occasions how fast Gator wide receiver Tank Hawkins was coming out of high school with a 10.37 PR in the 100-meter dash.

Flowers might legit be faster as he ran 10.43 seconds last year as a sophomore for Miami Northwestern and won the 3A state title in the 100-meter dash.

On film, he flies and while being 5'10" and 165 pounds could impact early playing time as a corner, he also plays above his height and isn't afraid to lay the boom on wide receivers with more size than him.

But what could also get him on the field right away is his kick return ability. Flowers is lethal, and if he has just a sliver of a hole to shoot through, he is going to break free for a touchdown.

On3 indicated that FSU and Georgia are also in the mix, and we would suspect Miami is going to have a say before everything shakes out.

Wherever Flowers commits, he will have to join in the summer, but he will be a day-one weapon who should see the field in 2025.
