The bulk of the focus for Florida Football right now is on the class of 2026. The Gators had a long list of prospects in town last week and will have more in town this weekend.

But there is still one member of the class of 2025 the Gators are trying to add, and doing so would require flipping him from Tennessee.

Florida Football: Flip Season

Onis Konanbanny has long been rumored to be a flip target for the Gators. Listed as a 6'1" and 180-pound defensive back from Columbia, SC, Konanbanny committed to Tennessee back in August but didn't sign on Early Signing Day back in December.

ESPN and Rivals have Konanbanny as a four-star, while On3 and 247 have him as a three-star, but his composite rating on 247 is a four-star.

What's interesting for Konanbanny is that his track times are fairly pedestrian, with a PR in the 100-meter dash of just 11.49 seconds. Based on that, the three-star ranking is fair.

But on film, Konanbanny has some wheels to him, and even though he is slated to be a defensive back in college, he also lines up at wide receiver and beats guys frequently with simple go routes.

When he does line up as a defensive back, he isn't afraid to attack the ball or come downhill into the backfield if needed. This is where his PR in the long jump of 22' 3" hints at a level of explosiveness that does pop up on his film.

Billy Napier has been making a strong push to try and flip Konanbanny, and today Konanbanny posted a photo on his X account that had Napier taking some jump shots in the Heathwood Hall Episcopal School gym.

Tom Loy of 247 predicted back in December that Konanbanny would flip to Florida, and Keith Niebuhr of Gators Online also predicted a flip earlier this week.

Florida's class of 2025 currently ranks 10th in the 247 rankings with 25 total commits.
