Billy Napier’s 2026 recruitment has been on a roll, receiving 13 commitments for the class so far. And while 2026 recruitment is still ongoing, Florida has already received their first commitment of 2027.

Four-star wide receiver Tramond Collins has committed to the Florida Gators for 2027, as first announced by Hayes Fawcett. The 6’2” 185lb receiver chose Florida over some of UF’s rivals, including Florida State, Tennessee, Auburn, South Florida, and others.

Collins visited the University of Florida on April 4th, and his visit made an impact, calling UF “home” in his announcement of his commitment to Napier and the Gators. He gave a verbal commitment to Napier and the coaching staff at the Florida Grille in the Ville recruiting event before making it official on Saturday.

Collins will be a senior this upcoming season at Cottondale High School in Cottondale, FL. He is currently ranked by On3 as the No. 4 athlete in the 2027 class. He is rated No. 179 overall in the 247Sports Composite Rankings as well.

His sophomore season highlights show that Napier is getting a player who can play both sides of the ball – offense at wide receiver and defense at defensive back. He has a strong ability to read the field, make a play, be able to navigate around defenders, break free to make catches, and even defensively make big hits.

In his 2024 high school season, he had 13 catches for 402 yards (30.9 yards per reception), along with 661 rushing yards on 31 carries (21.3 yards per rush). He scored 15 offensive touchdowns, and recorded 33 tackles and an interception on defense. Included in his touchdowns was a 100-yard rushing touchdown. His speed and ability to get around defenders describes that touchdown.

The speedy receiver averaged 13 points per game.

Collins athletic abilities go beyond football. He is a multi-sport athlete who also participated in track & field and basketball at Cottondale. He scored a 10.89 on the 100 and a 21.89 on the 200.
