Coming off their dramatic 14-point comeback on Wednesday, Florida Basketball enters today's contest against Georgia hoping to avoid the sluggish starts that have started to become a theme in SEC play.

And with Mike White coming to town to add to the plot today, there are some flashing red lights to be cautious of heading into tip-off.

There are a ton of metrics for Georgia that are going to sound familiar to Gator fans who watched seven years of the Mike White Era as Georgia is 170th in the country in possession per game. But despite their mid-level pace, they are 274th in field goal attempts per game, averaging just 56 shots per game.

Part of the reason there is such a disconnect between possesions and shots is because the Bulldogs are also 305th in the country in turnovers per game, averaging over 13 per contest.

Georgia also averages an assist on just 50.2% of made shots, 226th in the country, and their main mode of attack is to drive to the rim and get fouled as they are 23rd in the country in terms of free throws attempted per game.

So even though Florida's size advantage should mitigate what the Bulldogs want to do, we have this sneaking suspicion White is going to have some trick up his sleeve. He'll never admit it, but this game Florida is always going to be a game he has circled on his calendar.

But also in true Mike White fashion, even if Georgia gets an early lead, his insistence to try and bleed the clock out is going to set the stage for a Florida comeback.

Georgia is better than they have been historically, and as Wednesday showed, anyone is capable of beating anyone in the SEC, but with the home crowd behind them and legitimate talent advantages, we envision Florida eventually pulling this one out.
