When conference play began in the SEC, there was some concern of whether or not Florida Basketball would return to Earth. Sure the Gators were undefeated, but the stigma of being "scheduling merchants" hung over the team.

It's not always supposed to be as easy as it was Tuesday night against Oklahoma, but the Gators have proven they are more than just scheduling merchants. When everything clicks, they have a shot at winning it all come March Madness.

Florida Basketball: Okay Boomer

If you missed Tuesday night's game against Oklahoma, you didn't miss much. After a sluggish opening four minutes, Florida quickly ballooned their lead to ten points just nine minutes into the game.

And unlike some other games where Florida is prone to enter a cold stretch, the Gators kept growing the lead, and when Urban Klavzar made a last-second layup, their lead was 22 points heading into the locker room.

Whatever halftime speech Oklahoma gave didn't work as Florida built their lead to as much as 29 points before eventually winning 85-63.

What once again stood out for Florida was their depth and cache of guys who could score. No one had to play more than 29 minutes, yet Florida still had five guys score at least ten points.

Walter Clayton led the way with 18 points, with Will Richard, Rueben Chinyelu, Alijah Martin, and Klavzar all reaching at least 10 points.

Mind you, this was without Alex Condon or Sam Alexis due to injuries.

Florida has five games left in the regular season before the SEC Tournament. The Gators need to keep ticking off wins, as they only have a one-game lead on Missouri to have a first-round bye in the tournament.

Next up for the Gators is LSU in Baton Rouge, followed by a trip to Athens to take on Georgia and Mid-Major Mike.
