Florida Basketball has gotten a late jump on the transfer portal because, you know, they have been busy winning a national title. But now that the celebrations are over, it is time for Todd Golden to live up to his Portal God Todd nickname and find replacements for the 2025/26 season.

The Gators appear to have their first target in sight and will be getting a visit on Tuesday from a high-scoring guard out of Princeton with connections to one current member of Florida.

Florida Basketball: Buckets

Swamp247 has reported that guard Xaivian Lee is taking a visit to Florida today. Listed at 6'4" and 180 pounds, the Toronto native averaged 16.9 points per game last season on top of 6.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists.

Notably, Lee spent time in Pennslyvania as a high school teammate of current Gator Thomas Haugh.

The scouting report on Lee shows that he is a solid three-point shooter with the potential for "logo range." He tends to do his damage off the dribble and is extremely comfortable in an iso situation.

Oddly enough, he struggles as a catch-and-shoot guy.

Overall, Lee was 36.6% from three last year.

But Lee is also willing to attack the basket and is a capable finisher at the rim who is also willing to dish off for the assist as needed.

Florida isn't the only school trying to land Lee, as Duke, Kansas and St. John's are among the schools that are expected to be in the mix.

The Gators are having to replace all three of their starting guards from the 2024/25 season. Walter Clayton Jr., Will Richard, and Alijah Martin are all out of eligibility.

Florida does have Denzell Aberdeen and Urban Klavzar coming back as of now, as well as Isaiah Brown, who is hoping to take a bigger role next season.
