4.) Gunner Stockton, Georgia

Stockton is set to succeed Carson Beck in Athens after filling in for Beck during the 2024 College Football Playoffs, where Georgia lost to Notre Dame in the CFP opener.

He completed 20 of his 32 pass attempts for 234 yards and a touchdown against the Fighting Irish. He enters the 2025 season largely unproven, but it says a lot that the Bulldogs are willing to ride with him as their starting quarterback instead of going after a transfer.

Plus, he'll have an elite run game and plenty of weapons to lean on if he experiences some growing pains in his first full season as a starter.

5.) Austin Simmons, Ole Miss

There's a steep drop off of QB talent on this list after No. 3, but Simmons deserves a spot at the table when taling about the top signal callers the Gators will face in 2025.

Just a sophomore, Simmons spent his entire freshman season learning from Jaxson Dart, and he ran away with the starting job this spring. In very limited action last year, Simmons completed 19 of his 32 pass attempts for 282 yards and two touchdowns

Simmons was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, and was ranked the 19th best quarterback in his class, according to On3's industry rankings.

There's a wide range of outcomes for Simmons in 2025, but his upside and pure talent makes him one of the most dangerous matchup Florida will have this year.
