2.) Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
Nussmeier comes in with the second best odds to win the 2025 Heisman Trophy, per DraftKings. He trails only Arch Manning, so it makes sense to have Nussmeier come in at second here.
The rising senior broke out in 2024, delivering 4,052 passing yards and a 29:12 TD:INT in his first full season as a starter. He was one of six players to top 4,000 passing yards and is the only player of that group to return in 2025.
LSU brings back its top receiver from last season, Aaron Anderson, and complements him with transfers like Nic Anderson (Oklahoma) and Barion Brown (Kentucky).
All things considered, LSU could be one of the most potent offenses in college football, and that wouldn't be possible without Nussmeier.
3.) Carson Beck, Miami
Any quarterback good enough to start consecutive seasons for the Georgia Bulldogs should be considered among the best signal callers in the country -- the program under Kirby Smart is just that good.
Beck was under center for 27 games spanning the past two seasons for Georgia, compiling 7,426 passing yards and a 52:18 TD:INT. He sustained an elbow injury in the SEC Championship last year, but the issue isn't expected to linger into the 2025 campaign.
Entering his sixth collegiate season, Beck passed on the NFL Draft to sign an NIL deal with the Hurricanes, which is reportedly in the $ 3-4 million range.
A lot of conversation about whether Carson Beck is getting $3 million or $4 million to play for Miami. We hear the number is closer to 4. Either way, his agency is celebrating its work pic.twitter.com/avxkOKMbSF

2025 NFL Draft No. 1 pick Cam Ward revealed the blueprint for how quarterbacks can succeed in Miami, and Beck will look to replicate Ward's success in 2025.
